Employment Opportunities

Seeking Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (Auditory Orally. LSLS or AVT trained) to work with at HEAR SNH as an Independent Contractor working in school districts and early supports and services agencies in Southern NH. Working families, students preschool to high school and birth to three population. Flexible scheduling. Part time (2-3 days per week) position to start 2019-2020 school year (August 2019), with option of spring/summer 2019 hours. School year contract with option for summer services.


Duties include:

• Direct Auditory Oral/Listening Spoken Language Therapy (listening, discrimination and self advocacy)
• Staff training on hearing loss, Hearing aids, Cochlear Implants, HAT/FM/DM systems
• Evaluation of Auditory Skills to help in determining need for services
• Classroom observation of functional auditory skills
• Consultation with audiologists, Early Supports and Services staff, School district personnel
• Family Counseling on communication options for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children
• LSLS certification not required
• Must have or must be eligible to apply for NH Teacher Certification
• Option to work in and/or learn to work with birth to three population in Early Intervention via home based setting or telepractice
